GETTING TO KNOW US

Chariot Accountants was founded by Paul Whitehouse in September 2010. After 8 years working for an accounting practice, Paul noticed there was a need to provide sole traders with the help and support often only offered to larger companies.

Many accounting firms would neglect the needs of simpler sole trader businesses, often passing on the work to apprentices or junior staff, so they could spend more of their time on higher demand, and higher paying, clients. 

Chariot Accountants was formed to support those sole traders not only in their business needs but also in personal tax needs. Providing affordably high-quality accounting services to the sole trader and rapidly growing freelancer (or ‘gig’) market.

Over recent years we have been leveraging new technologies that have made these services more accessible to clients, with real time cloud accounting software and instant messaging, it’s like having your own accountant in your pocket!

After the Covid Pandemic many cloud based technologies have emerged that have revolutionised businesses, including ours! This has given us the ability to grow our services online and expand to accommodate larger companies without fear of it impacting on our key goal of supporting small sole traders.

We are currently rolling out new services including in-house payroll bureau and digital bookkeeping.
